For the second year, we celebrated Code Week in our school. One of the main goals was to make all pupils participate in the activities (around 300 kids). For that, we had to design different activities for kids from six until 15 years old. All teachers collaborated throughout the process and contributed  their own activities.

First to sixth grade – For the first time we created our own eTwinning project about coding “CODING AND ART”. We mixed programming, pixel art, creativity and English.

With three other schools (Ceip La Villarina in Spain, Primary school Sanguinetto in Italy and Primary school n.6 Siedlce in Poland) we prepared games, activities, online meeting and we danced the ode to code.

First grade started copying to learn what pixel art is:

Fourth grade created something similar with another technique:

Of course, we also used computers to code.

Pixel art made on a computer:

In computer class, we used code.org:

The fourth and fifth grade went to the cinema to watch a Slovenian film about safer internet “Gajin svet”.

The sixth to ninth grade had a talk with Domen Savič from Državljan D, about safer internet:

Coding, having workshops about robotics, talking about safer internet, and more is becoming more usual in our school and most of our students show a big interest and they want to keep learning more about it.
