Meet the new Code4Europe Team

As we embark on a new chapter in the evolution of EU Code Week, we are thrilled to introduce the Code4Europe Consortium, a dynamic and diverse team that will be taking over the stewardship of this impactful initiative from July 1st, 2024. Our consortium is made up of over 40 educational and digital industry stakeholders from 20 European countries, all united by a common goal: to enhance and expand digital education across Europe.

Our Vision and Goals

The Code4Europe Consortium is dedicated to empowering the next generation of young, digitally-savvy Europeans. By leveraging our combined expertise and resources, we aim to support Ambassadors, Edu Coordinators, Leading Teachers, and volunteers to expand their activities and impact in their respective countries. Our mission is to ensure the seamless implementation of EU Code Week activities while introducing new initiatives to enhance the reach and visibility of this crucial European project.

National and Regional Hubs: A New Approach

One of the key pillars of our strategy is the introduction of National and Regional Hubs, launching across Europe in July 2024. These hubs will serve as central points for promoting and sharing information about EU Code Week. They will offer crucial support to our community, ensuring that the valuable efforts and successes of previous years are not only preserved but also amplified. These hubs will facilitate collaborative discussions and strategic planning, driving higher levels of activity and participation in each country.

Exciting Initiatives and Future Plans

Over the next two years, the Code4Europe Consortium will launch several ground-breaking initiatives designed to foster collaboration and inspire the digital community. Our key focus areas include:

  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Industry Collaborations: We will engage with the digital industry to develop impactful CSR initiatives that enhance digital education and promote community involvement, ensuring that technology serves society as a whole.
  • Inspiration and Orientation Campaigns: We are dedicated to promoting digital careers, especially for girls and young women. We will do this through targeted campaigns and by creating a robust network of female role models who can inspire and guide the next generation.
  • Support and Resources for Educators: We will provide comprehensive support and resources to Ambassadors, Edu Coordinators, and Leading Teachers, empowering them to expand their activities and amplify their impact in their communities.

By working together and leveraging the strengths of our diverse consortium, we are confident that we can build a more inclusive and transformative digital education ecosystem across Europe.
