Bringing Code Week to schools all over Serbia

Publication date: October 12, 2018

On the occasion of the European Code Week, Digital Serbia Initiative and the Petlja Foundation have organized “Creative Coding on Petlja” as part of the “Let’s Get Smart” campaign.

The main goal of the Initiative Digital Serbia was to include over 10 000 pupils interested in coding in more than 500 events all over Serbia for the very first time. Our wish is to help Serbia shine on the map of the EU Code Week, running from October 6 to October 21, and include participating pupils from over fifty countries.

On this occasion, the Petlja Foundation and other contributors to this action have prepared a series of practical activity suggestions that should help educators in preschool institutions and teachers in primary and secondary schools to creatively improve their teaching skills – or introduce their pupils to the world of coding.

The realization of this year’s European Code Week is supported by the Ministry of education, science and technological development, and additional information are available at codeweek.eu, codeweek.rs and the Facebook page of Code Week Serbia.
