Innovative education for children in programming has big meaning nowadays.

During EU Code Week 2016 we organized programming workshops in four cities in Slovakia called Learn2Code for kids roadshow. We used Scratch programming language and Ozobot robots to teach our young attendees the basics of programming. They were super excited!

Our lead instructor Lubos made
a great workshop for kids from schools from Bratislava, Banska Bystrica and
Zilina. Some of ICT teachers plan to adopt Scratch and Ozobot to their
curriculum. Great success!

Kids were really impressed by
little robot Ozobot. He can do what you tell him: turn right, go straight, turn
left, dance. He’s really smart.

More than 300 kids attended
these EU Code Week workshops. It was a real pleasure to show them how funny and
engaging programming is. We look forward to the next Code Week and coding
events!

Big thanks goes to Google for
support of Learn2Code for kids
roadshow.
