The second day of the EU Code Week Pilot Summer School started with four parallel workshops. We had a chance to explore tinkering and making, robotics and makeblocks, micro:bit, visual programming and, game design. We talked about developing technologic and information literacy and, competences like problem solving, creativity and collaboration.

Exploration and playing never stops!

One of our participants also took the opportunity to give a seesion today. Pauline prepared a workshop based on micro:bits.

The afternoon was dedicated to getting familiar with the Computer Science Fundamentals and code.org curriculum.

We started with plugged lessons, explored pair programming and shared ideas and experiences.

The focus was put on the importance of equality and equity because every student can succeed in computer science when given the right support and opportunities, regardless of prior knowledge. Computer science is about problem solving, creative thinking, creativity and finding solutions.
