Staplehurst School’s 2nd U Can Too Technology Fair for Code Week UK 2014

Publication date: June 24, 2015

Exploring the exciting world of computing

We had many exciting activities on offer and welcomed over 350 guests into our event. Our event attracted families from neighbouring villages, as well as visitors from Kent towns a little further
afield, visitors from Essex and Surrey and we even welcomed visitors from Korea following our presentation for Code Week UK at Mozilla Headquarters during the previous week.

Something for everyone

With computer-based activities and ‘unplugged’ (no digital device needed), there was something for everyone to try at U Can Too. We were very pleased to repeat our very popular Zu3D activity,  at which families could create their own animations. Also on offer were Lilypad e-sewing which uses electric thread to connect lights and a battery to make a circuit and soldering in the form of Sparkfun’s WeevilEye bug.

Planning for U Can Too 2015 is now underway!
